Blacks in Illinois Urged to Donate Blood to Help Others with Diseases Like Lupus

A Legislative Black Caucus campaign in Illinois is encouraging African Americans to donate samples of their blood, particularly to help patients with diseases like lupus that disproportionately affect this population. 

How can Lupus sufferers benefit from this?

While at the Illinois state level, the need for blood donations from African Americans is widespread nationwide.

It is hope that with advances in medical research, there can be new treatment options developed for Lupus.

 

How can my Lupus Symptoms be treated?

With the latest advances in Lupus research, it is hoped that new medications can be developed to treat the most severe symptoms of Lupus disease.  Even if a cure is not currently available, those sufferig from the disease may at least have access to new and improved treatment options.
